Priority Use of Ramsey County CDBG/HOME Funds for FY2004-05 <br />Housing <br />This includes: <br />Rehabilitation of Owner-Occupied Single Family Houses (including energy efficiency <br />improvements) <br />Homeownership for First Time Homebuyers who are low to moderate income <br />Rehabilitation of Rental Property Large and Small <br />Removal of Dilapidated Structures (single family homes, commercial buildings, both <br />require eligible re-use of the property, limited to benefiting low and moderate income <br />persons.) <br />New Affordable Housing Construction – Families and Seniors <br />(may include multifamily, townhouses, assisted living and acquisition of land for <br />low-income single family home ownership) <br />Rehabilitation loans for eligible Condominium and Townhome developments. <br />Land Trusts <br />Neighborhood Revitalization <br />(combination of eligible activities) <br />Note: due to the statutory restrictions on the use of CDBG/HOME funds, not all projects <br />in these categories are eligible. This category is narrowly focused to direct re-use <br />benefiting low and moderate income persons <br />This may include Mobile Home Park preservation <br />Infrastructure Improvements <br />(limited to eligible low/mod areas) <br />Job Creation <br />May include business loans to purchase equipment/machinery, acquisition of land for <br />business/industry, commercial building rehab. All business loans must create head of <br />household jobs, at least half of which must be made available to low and moderate <br />income households. <br /> <br />
