Keel, Roseville Director of Public Works <br />Re: Staff reports on pending matters <br />New developments/projects within Roseville affecting the GLWMO: <br />a. School district redevelopment-Owasso/Western/Da1e <br />The primary work activity is the construction of new homes. Of primary concern is erosion <br />control on each building site. Special care has been given to ensure that the developer <br />sweeps streets periodically to minimize the amount of sediment entering the new storm <br />sewer system. <br />b. Kehler Development-County Road C/Dale Street <br />This development consists of the construction of two short public cul-de-sacs to serve new <br />townhomes on the southwest corner of County Road C and Date Street. Major grading has <br />been completed, and two new N>;TfZP stonnwater basins have been constructed to address <br />both water quality and water quantity issues. rt is expected that roadway construction will <br />be completed by late August 1996, and the townhome units will be constructed by spring <br />1997. <br />c. ,Acorn Park re~radi~ <br />As part of Roseville's park improvement program, a large portion of Acorn Park will be <br />redeveloped. 'This project began in 1945 and is expected to be completed by late fall 1996. <br />The contractor has been required to implement erosion control as necessary. <br />d. Outlet to Bennett Lake <br />Construction. has begun on the new outlet to Bennett Lake. This outlet, constructed from <br />the east side of ;aennett Lake across Vct;oria Street to the American Legion ponds, is <br />intended to replace the existing pumping system. This project wiIl allow Bennett Lake to <br />drain without operating the existing pumps. This modification will. have a positive impact <br />on water quality, since the stormwater will not be churned by a pumping system. The <br />
