BWSR Road Replacement RFP
February 26, 1997
Page 3
APPLICATION
If you know of potential sites which maybe eligible for this program and are interested in
submitting a proposal for establishing replacement wetlands in your area, please submit the
attached application for each proposed site, along with a map indicating the replacement wetland
location, by June 1, 1997, to the BWSR address listed on the application form. Further
information for sites which pass the initial screening process will be requested to evaluate the site
prior to approval for funding.
In addition to proposals for replacement wetlands, the BWSR is also seeking to establish and
"maintain a public list of restoration opportunities within the seven-county metropolitan area" in
accordance with the M.S. 103G.222, Subd. 1, subitem (e)(1). Unfunded proposals may be placed
on this list, along with other publicly and privately owned sites that could be utilized. at a later
date, as this program is very likely to be refunded in future bienniums. This additional information
would be of great help in our fulfilling this responsibility under the WCA.
Thank you for your consideration of this opportunity. Should you have any questions, or need
additional information, contact the BWSR Board Conservationist for your area, as indicated on
the attached map.
Attachments: Application Form
Program Criteria
BWSR Board Conservationist Work Area Map
cc: LMC -Joel Jamnik
MAT -John Dooley
AMC -Dave Weirens
LCMR -John Velin
MSCU -Glenda Moyers
SNAPS (School Nature Area Programs) - St. Olaf College
Wetland Delineators Association -Frank Svoboda
Metropolitan Council -Jack Frost
BWSR Board Conservationists
BWSR Regional Supervisors
Interagency Wetland Group
M:~ROADREP.
