The study differentiates population with proximity to the ,lake (upper watershed vs. lower watershed). She is interested in comparing the results with other surveyinformation that Partners may have.:A follow-up survey will be conducted after the completion of the Districts five year ' water quality implementation plan. - ~ ~- - ~ ~ '~ ~ Lyndon Lyndon reminded Partners of the Phalen wetland restoration planting~on September 13 and of the need for additional volunteers. A survey conducted after the completion of the project indicated change over the past two years. Tina will bring the results to a future meeting: ~ Marie 8 Anne Minneapolis and St. Paul Public Works received a TCQI grant to cover materials and printing for catch basin stencil slickers. A test batch will be printed this fall. W Deb The construction of the Southwest Calhoun Wetland has been delayed from 1997 to 1998 due to engineering for the project. ~ John The Rivers Council of Minnesota is hosting a free conference on September 19 and 20 in Moorehead. Use Of the Watershed Exhibit Shelley used the exhibit at the St. Paul Classic Bike Tour. About 5000 riders participated in the event and an estimated 1000 of those interacted with the Watershed exhibit. Shelley said that people are not responding to the pledge cards. Suzanne reported that the exhibit is scheduled into October. She has started a schedule for next year and some dates are already spoken for. The scheduling team is looking for places to display the '~ exhibit this winter. ' F ~,,
