Applicants should use the following outline. Applications should be kept to two pages or less. <br />1. Local Unit of Government name and contact person (project manager). Include address and <br />phone number, e-mail, etc.... <br />2. Amount of funds requested. Amount. to be committed as match--list as cash or in-kind. <br />3. Narrative. Describe what is proposed. Please be brief and specific. Use of bullets or outline <br />format to clearly show the nature of the project is helpful to evaluators. Include at least the <br />following information: <br />- The nature of the development pressure which is affecting land and water resources; <br />- The staffing expertise to be acquired or the technology to be used to help the governing <br />board(s) make better natural resource decisions; <br />- Any new development controls which would be implemented; <br />- Participating benefiting local units o.f government; and, <br />- How this project ~,vould show results and holy can results be measured or quantified. <br />4. Other information (optional). <br />The deadline for submitting pre-proposals for this special grant is June 12, 1998.
