To: Grass Lake Water Management Organization <br />FI'o17i: Denny Palmer, Karen Chandler, Hal Runke <br />Subject: Work Plan - GLWMO Water Mana~,ement Plan <br />Date: July I5, 1999 <br />will demonstrate water qualitu and other significant trends at lected lakes and ponds. The <br />performance analysis will evaluate the implementation of ~~ri en maintenance plans and capital <br />improvement plans. <br />~.2 Facilitate discussion of the conceptual aceotmtabilit~~ and review system. Assist in committing to <br />written form. <br />5.3 Desi~,n data collection and reporting systems to evaluate achievement of goals. This will include sample <br />reporting formats for cities to use in reports to the WMO. and for the WMO to use as part of its annual <br />report. Data collection plans will be included in the implementation plan as required to support the <br />evaluation process. <br />Task 6.0 B Other Water Management Plan Elements. The Plan will need to address other elements of <br />water resource planning specified by the rules_ but it is proposed to provide less emphasis on these items than <br />on the above `'focus" items. <br />6. I Gro>_mdwater and geolo.~~ B identify how the geologic histon of the watershed may impact the <br />relationship of surface waters to groundwater. and how surface water decisions may need to consider <br />such impacts. <br />6.1.1 Characterize the geology, groundwater resources, and ground~~ater quality. Use and adopt by <br />reference the information and maps available from the Ramsey Count<~ groundwater plan and <br />other documents. Reuse as much geologic and gro>.mdwater information as possible from the <br />c~urent GLWMO plan. <br />6.1:2 Discuss cite wellhead protection areas. if applicable. <br />6.1.3 Develop goals, policies and implementation activities pertaining to groundwater resources. <br />6.2 Climate B Characterize the climate of the watershed and the relationship to issues of importance. Reuse <br />information from the current GLWMO plan. <br />6.3 To~o~l-aphv and Soils <br />6.3.1 Develop maps showing general soil types, steep slopes, esistinglpotential erosion areas and <br />topography. Reuse information from the current GLWMO plan. <br />6.3.2 Develop goals, policies and implementation activities pertaining to soils. <br />6.4 Parks. recreation, fish and wildlife <br />6.4.1 Inventory park resources.
