ACTIONS: Ramsey
County will provide the following information to Matt Wassman: 1) desired control
elevation for the West Vadnais subwatershed (see Additional Information below); 2) size
of pipe; 3) outlet structure detail. Matt will layout the possible pipe alignment to identify
utility clearance and feasibility. Ramsey County will evaluate the need for easement
acquisition for the proposed alignment (much of the land both North and South of I694 is
owned by St. Paul Regional Water).
ACTION: Matt and Avo will obtain additional survey work related to the proposed
West Vadnais subwatershed solution.
IPLEENTATON: Steps include identifying cost share and necessary agreements.
R-WMWD desires an agreement concerning operation of the outlet. St. Paul Regional
Water has existing agreements with VLAWMO concerning the ownership and operation
of several control structures.
MEETING CONCLUSION: All meeting participants will be kept apprised of future
developments on this issue.
Additional Information: The low elevation of Rice Street at the north end of West
Vadnais Lake (near the railroad. bridge) is 884.4. Control of West Vadnais Lake at 881.9
provides 2.5 feet for protection of Rice St. and Vadnais Blvd. subgrades.
Notes by Terry Noonan
\projects\W. Vadnais 2
