Application deadline is June 1. A free public tour of
winning properties will be held in August.
The awards are open to residents of Shoreview and the portion of Roseville that is within the Grass
Lake Watershed District. Judges will evaluate rain gardens, shoreline buffers, native plant gardens,
permeable driveways or patios and other property features that protect and improve water quality.
The program is intended to be educational, rather than competitive, and residents are encouraged to
apply if their garden or buffer is a work in progress. Judges will visit the properties of finalists and
provide feedback to help them improve their gardens and solve problems unique to their individual
situations.
Applications are available for download at www.cityofroseville.com/~reenawardapp. Printed copies
are available at Roseville and Shoreview City Halls and local Ramsey County libraries.
For more information, ca11651-490-4650.
1
