B.

Arden Hills shall also pay a portion of

Roseville's maintenance costs for facilities jointly used by Rose-

ville and Arden Hills lying in the Village of Roseville and owned

by the Village of Roseville. These shall be determined as follows:

The cost of the previous year's operation and maintenance of the

Roseville sanitary sewer system, less payments to St. Paul and

less utilities costs for pumping station, shall be apportioned to the

jointly-used portion of the system on the basis of distance of the

jointly-used sewers against distance of the total Roseville sanitary

sewer system. This computed operation and maintenance cost for

jointly used sewers shall be apportioned to Arden Hills on the basis

of total Arden Hills' metered and computed sewage flows against total

combined sewage Hows from Roseville and all connected muniCipalities

for the corresponding year's time.

C. Arden Hills shall pay Roseville a charge for

Arden Hills I share of the costs of extraordinary repairs of jointly-used

sewers serving Arden Hills. This charge is to reimburse Roseville for

Arden Hills' share of those expenses which Roseville incurs in making

repairs which, under accepted accounting practices, are not embraced

in the cost of current maintenance and repair under this section.

Arden Hills' share of such cost shall be computed by

dividing the total cost thereof between Roseville and Arden Hills

in the proportion which the total volume of sewage discharged by

Arden Hills in the particular sewers repaired bears to the total volume

of sewage in such sewers. The volumes to be used in this computation

shall be computed by Roseville over a 24-hour period during average

dry weather flow at approximately the time of such repair. Such flow

shall be determined by the installation of a weir or meter.

Page Eight
