B. Powers and duties <br />The duties of a city clerk vary depending upon the type of city. <br />1. Elected clerks/Standard Plan cities <br />Mann. stet. ~ ai2.ist, Standard plan (elected) city clerks have the following duties: <br />subd.l <br />• Give notice of each regular and special meeting. <br />• Record the proceedings of each regular and special meeting. <br />• Notify officials of their election or appointment to office. <br />• Certify to county auditor all appointments and results of city <br />elections. <br />• Keep a minute book. <br />• deep an ordinance book. <br />• Act as clerk and bookkeeper of the city. <br />• Be custodian of city's seal and records. <br />• Sign official city papers. <br />• Post and publish such notices, ordinances, and resolutions as <br />may be required. <br />• Perform such other duties as may be imposed by the council. <br />• '= ~ :. participating member of the council. <br />Mann. stet. § 424A.04, A cit c p g p <br />Suba. ~ y Jerk may have additional duties, de endin u on the <br />specifics of the city.
