LOT LINE, FRONT: That boundary of a lot which abuts a street, and in the case of a <br />corner lot, it shall be the shortest dimension on a public street. Should the dimensions be <br />equal, the owner shall designate the front for the record. <br />LOT LINE, REAR: That boundary of a lot which is opposite the front lot line. If the rear <br />lot line is less than ten feet in length, or if the lot forms a point at the rear, the rear lot line <br />for setback purposes shall be deemed to be a line ten feet in length within the lot, parallel <br />to and at the maximum distance from the front line. (Ord. 1286, 08-04-2003) <br />LOT LINE, SIDE: Any boundary of a lot which is not a front or a rear lot line. <br />LOT, THROUGH: A lot which has a pair of opposite lot lines along two substantially <br />parallel streets and which is not a corner lot. On a through lot, both street lines shall be <br />deemed front lot lines. (Ord. 1286, 08-04-2003) <br />LOT WIDTH: The mean horizontal distance between the side lot lines of a lot measured <br />within the lot boundaries at the required front yard setback. (Ord. 275, 5-12-59; amd. <br />1995 Code) <br />LOW IMPACT PUBLIC OR QUASI-PUBLIC USE: Activities which are sponsored by a <br />public or quasi-public organization which have minor impact in terms of traffic <br />generation, hours of operation, activities conducted or light and noise generated on the <br />surrounding properties. Low impact public or quasi-public uses include activities <br />employing no more then 10 employees on site for any one activity, requiring not more <br />than fifteen 15 parking spaces for any one activity exclusive of public assembly and not <br />involving retailing, wholesaling or warehousing of materials other than normal office <br />supplies. For the purposes of this Title, a public use is any area, building or structure <br />held, used or controlled exclusively for public purposes by any department or branch of <br />any government. Aquasi-public use is any use which is essentially public as in its <br />services rendered although under private control or ownership. (Ord. 874, 1-2-81) <br />MAIL ORDER SALES AND LIMITED PRODUCTION: Receiving of mail orders from <br />consumers, processing of such orders including the manufacture, assembly, storage and <br />shipping of such products from the site direct to consumers only. (Ord. 1286, 08-04- <br />2003) <br />MANUFACTURED HOME: A type of structure that is transportable in one or more <br />sections, which in the traveling mode, is eight body feet or more in width or 24 body feet <br />or more in length, or, when erected on site, is 320 or more square feet. (The measure is <br />exclusive of travel hitches and other carrying devices.) This structure is built on a <br />permanent chassis and designed to be used as a dwelling with or without a permanent <br />foundation when connected to the required utilities, and includes the plumbing, heating, <br />air conditioning, and electrical systems contained therein; except that the term includes <br />any structure which meets all the requirements and with respect to which the <br />manufacturer voluntarily files a certification required by the Secretary of HUD (1976) <br />and complies with the standards established under this chapter. (Ord. 1286, 08-04-2003) <br />MINI-STORAGE (SELF-STORAGE) FACILITIES: A building or group of buildings <br />having the following characteristics: control access and secured areas which contain <br />varying sizes of individually compartmentalized and controlled access stalls or lockers <br />for the dead storage of the customer's goods or possessions. Access to all storage units <br />shall be orientec.'. into interior courtyards fully enclosed by buildings or walls, except for <br />ingress and egress openings. Exterior finish shall be face brick or equal.
