Mn/DOT Agreement No. 81361
A kick-off ineeting will be held once all data needed to complete the project has been
provided and reviewed by each party. The information to be provided includes aS-
builts, topographic maps, drainage calculations and plans for the area north of T.H. 36
and other pertinent information as requested. At this meeting, the overall layout and
boundaries of the project will be discussed along with a review of possible alternatives
to be modeled.
Two meetings with State are anticipated. The first meeting will be to discuss the
proposed XP-SWMM model layout and overall project goals. At the second meeting
the XP-SWMM model results will be reviewed and alternatives for necessary corrective
action will be examined prior to the completion of the overall project report.
Prepare XP-SWMM Model for Har-Mar Drainage Study Area
Expand the existing HydroCAD model completed for the Har-Mar Mall Drainage
Study into a XP-SWMM model. The XP-SWMM model will be created using the
drainage areas from the existing HydroCAD model, modifed to matCh the feld-verified
drainage boundary (available from State). It will also include a review of all available
data (as-builts, topography maps and other data), a review of the existing drainage
model, feld verifcation of inlet locations and type, and calibration of the completed
SWMM model using existing data.
Prepare SWMM Model for the Area Between T.H. 36 and County Road C
Expand the existing drainage model for the area between T.H. 36 and County Road C
into an XP-SWMM model. The XP-SWMM model will be created using the same
drainage areas as the existing model. It will also include a review of the data provided
(as-builts, topography maps, existing drainage model and drainage boundary maps, and
other data), feld verifcation of the inlet locations and type, and calibration of the
completed XP-SWMM model.
4. Analyze Design Alternatives
Analyze culvert-crossing alternatives that will be presented during City and State
project meetings. The analysis will be completed using the XP-SWMM model created
for the existing drainage areas with the necessary model parameters changed to reflect
the various options.
Construction Cost Estimates
Complete quantity estimates along with a detailed cost estimate for the construction of
the design alternatives for the culvert crossing of T.H. 36.
Final Report
Compile and provide a summary of all XP-SWMM model output including the existing
drainage system and the effect of the proposed alternatives, preparation of exhibits and
recommendations for improvements to the drainage system linking the Har-Mar pond
with Zimmerman Lake.
Rev 11100 Joint Powers Agreement for Professiottallfechnicel Services
