JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />CITY OF SHOREVIEW - CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />OWASSO BOULEVARD WEST RECONSTRUCTION AND <br />STORM WATER PONDS <br />1.0 Parties. This Agreement is entered into by and between the City of Shoreview, a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("Shoreview") and the City of Roseville, a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("Roseville") pursuant to the authorization <br />contained in M.S. 47 1.59. <br />2.0 Recitals. <br />A. Shoreview and Roseville each have authority to construct public <br />improvements as defined in M.S. Chapter 429. <br />B. A portion of Owasso Boulevard West is located in Shoreview and a portion <br />is located in Roseville. <br />C. Shoreview has determined that it is necessary to reconstruct the portion of <br />Owasso Boulevard West which is located within Shoreview. The <br />reconstruction project is eligible for municipal state aid and has been <br />designated as Municipal State Aid Project No. 167-265-01. <br />D. Roseville has determined that it is necessary to reconstruct the portion of <br />Owasso Boulevard West which is located within Roseville. The <br />reconstruction project is eligible for municipal state aid and has been <br />designated as Municipal State Aid Project No. 160-254-0 1. <br />E. Shoreview and Roseville have determined that, in conjunction with the <br />reconstruction of Owasso Boulevard West, it will be necessary to improve <br />storm water ponds and sedimentation ponds which collect and treat surface <br />water runoff from Owasso Boulevard West and surrounding areas. <br />3.0 Purpose. The purpose of this Joint Powers Agreement is to define the duties and <br />obligations of Shoreview and Roseville in regard to the reconstruction of Owasso <br />Boulevard West and in regard to the improvement of storm water ponds. <br />4.0 Duration. Except as provided in Section 6.0(K), this Agreement shall terminate 1 <br />year following substantial completion of all segments of the joint project. <br />
