City Council Minutes —12/17/O1 <br />DR.AFT Copy Page 6 <br />Welsch requested the City Council to review and forward <br />comments or improvements regarding the Annual 2001 <br />Comprehensive Plan to staff and the Planning Commission for <br />the Commission's continued Hearing on the Plan scheduled for <br />January 2, 2002. <br />F-3 Burrell spoke about the current sleeping quarters on the second <br />floor of Fire Station #3. He indicated that additional exits on <br />the outside of the facility to meet Code requirements, in <br />addition to those inside the facility, necessitated this request for <br />a budget amendment. Kysylyczyn asked about the timing of <br />this proposed investment, in light of the upcoming completion <br />of the Fire Station Location study. Kysylyczyn also asked <br />about mold in the building. Goedeke asked about the age of <br />Fire Station #3. <br />G. <br />G-1 <br />x. <br />Mastel moved, Goedeke seconded, to approve the allocation of <br />funds from the Building Depreciation Fund to complete the fire <br />fighter sleeping quarters at Station #3, in an amount not to <br />exceed $65,000. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, Maschka, <br />Klausing, Mastel and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br />Recognitions & Announcements <br />Moved to the beginning of the Agenda. <br />Hearings <br />H-1 Kysylyczyn opened the public hearing. Burrell reported on the <br />financial aspects of this request. He emphasized that the City <br />bore no legal liability for this form of financing. Klausing <br />asked about the process to obtain tax exempt financing. No <br />member of the public asked to speak. <br />Maschka moved, Klausing seconded, to adopt resolutions <br />authorizing the issuance of $4.5 million of Private School <br />Facility Bonds, Series 2001, for Concordia Academy and upon <br />final review by the City's bond counsel, further authorize the <br />Mayor, City Manager and Finance Director to sign the required <br />Budget <br />Amendment <br />Fire 5tation #3 <br />Sleeping Quarters <br />Recognition of <br />Council Members <br />Goedeke and <br />Mastel <br />Resolution 9968 & <br />Resolution 9969 <br />Concordia Academy <br />Tax Exempt Private <br />School Facility <br />Revenue Bonds <br />
