ROSEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />STANDARDS <br />SUBJECT: PERSONNEL, APPARATUS, AND STATION SECURITY <br />INDEX: 102.06 <br />DATE DRAFTED: October 13,200 1 <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: October 15, 2001 <br />1. PURPOSE <br />The safety of our personnel, apparatus and our stations are of paramount importance to <br />our organization. This standard is developed to provide a level of safety and security to <br />our fire department employees. <br />2. DEFINITIONS <br />Active Firefghter: A firefighter or officer employed by the City of Roseville for the <br />purpose of performing firefighting duties. <br />Approved non-fire department Meetings/Events: Civilian meetings, training and <br />special events that are pre-approved by a chief officer of the fire department. <br />City Employee: A person employed by the City of Roseville assigned to a department <br />other than the fire department. <br />Family Member: The immediate family member or significant other of an active <br />firefighter or a fire department civilian employee. <br />Fire Department Civilian Employee: A person employed by the Roseville Fire <br />Department in a capacity other than active firefighter. <br />Fire Department Property: City of Roseville owned property that is occupied by a fire <br />station. This includes a11 grounds and parking lots. <br />Fire Explorer: A non-employee of the tire department. Access to fire explorers is <br />restricted to training events, meetings pre-approved by the Explorer Advisor or to <br />conduct official business on behalf of the Explorer Post. <br />Guest: A person who is not a family member of the Roseville Fire Department <br />employee, who visits a fire station as the guest of an employee who is present at the time <br />of the visitation. Retired employees who are not family members of active firefighters or <br />tire department civilian employees shall be considered guests. <br />
