ROSEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT STANDARDS SUBJECT: PERSONNEL, APPARATUS, AND STATION SECURITY INDEX: 102.06 DATE DRAFTED: October 13,200 1 EFFECTIVE DATE: October 15, 2001 1. PURPOSE The safety of our personnel, apparatus and our stations are of paramount importance to our organization. This standard is developed to provide a level of safety and security to our fire department employees. 2. DEFINITIONS Active Firefghter: A firefighter or officer employed by the City of Roseville for the purpose of performing firefighting duties. Approved non-fire department Meetings/Events: Civilian meetings, training and special events that are pre-approved by a chief officer of the fire department. City Employee: A person employed by the City of Roseville assigned to a department other than the fire department. Family Member: The immediate family member or significant other of an active firefighter or a fire department civilian employee. Fire Department Civilian Employee: A person employed by the Roseville Fire Department in a capacity other than active firefighter. Fire Department Property: City of Roseville owned property that is occupied by a fire station. This includes a11 grounds and parking lots. Fire Explorer: A non-employee of the tire department. Access to fire explorers is restricted to training events, meetings pre-approved by the Explorer Advisor or to conduct official business on behalf of the Explorer Post. Guest: A person who is not a family member of the Roseville Fire Department employee, who visits a fire station as the guest of an employee who is present at the time of the visitation. Retired employees who are not family members of active firefighters or tire department civilian employees shall be considered guests.
