WHEREAS, A Roseville city election cannot be held in 2002 (City Attorney's <br />interpretation of Minnesota Statutes); and <br />WHEREAS, An even-year local election ordinance has been adopted by the Roseville <br />City Council that changes no term of any sitting Councihnember, and <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council supports citizen efforts to bring the issue of <br />odd-year versus even-year city elections to a referendum; <br />NOW, TI�REFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council hereby <br />1. S u p p o r t s O r d i n a n c e # that moves Roseville city elections from <br />an odd-year to an even-year election cycle, and <br />2. Supports a voter referendum on November 5, 2002 that provides <br />Roseville voters with an opportunity to vote for or against even-year <br />elections for Roseville city government. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereo£ and the following voted against the same: . <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
