City Council 1�'Iinutes — 08/12/02 <br />Page 24 <br />Support Services <br />Motion: <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Kough seconded, approval of a Joint <br />Powers Agreement with the City of Little Canada for the <br />purposes viding periodic, part-time information systems <br />support by the City of Roseville to the City of Little <br />Canada; and authorized the Mayor and City Manager to <br />execute the Joint Powers Agreement, contingent upon <br />review and approval by the City Attorney. <br />Councilmember Schroeder asked for City Attorney <br />Jamnik's legal opinion regarding any need to recuse <br />himself from this issue, given his employment with the <br />City of Little Canada. <br />Mr. Jamnik stated that there would be no need for <br />Councilmember Schroeder to do so, as no benefit would <br />be received from him in any agreement. <br />Finance Director Miller presented this request for <br />services, estimated to be approximately one-hundred <br />(100) hours per year on an as-needed basis, without <br />compromising services to Roseville. Mr. Miller stated <br />that this agreement was similar to the five (5) other <br />agreements currently in place, and brought in non-tax <br />revenues to the city, allowing it to fund an additional full- <br />time employee in the information systems department. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka, Schroeder, Kough, and <br />Kysylyczyn. <br />Nays: None. <br />Abstentions: Schroeder <br />H.
