The County then directed <br />cities to develop a method of financing their recycling program beginning January 1992. Roseville responded <br />by approving the establishment of a recycling fee that has been included as a part of the quarterly utility bill. <br />Ramsey County cities may apply for SCORE funds that the County receives from the State of Minnesota. The <br />amount of those funds available to Roseville in 2003 is $66,239. <br />The application process for the grant requires a resolution adopted by the City Council. <br />Financial Implications <br />The grant will be used to pay a portion of the Curbside Recycling Program <br />Staff Recommendation <br />It is recommended the Council adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for the grant. <br />Council Action Requested <br />Motion adopting resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application to Ramsey County for a <br />2003 SCORE Funding Grant in amount of $66,239.00 for use in Roseville's residential recycling program. <br />
