<br />1. The Comprehensive Plan states on page VIII-I: <br /> <br />"To provide for. . . water and associated <br />land resources. . ." <br /> <br />.What are "associated land resources II ? Does that <br />include only flood plains or more? Does that include all of the lands <br />in the District? <br /> <br />2. The Comprehensive Plan states on page VIII-4: <br /> <br />". . . the district shall identify the flocxl <br />plain. . . and promote the necessary <br />flood plain zoning . . ." <br /> <br />What will happen to municipal or county flood plain <br />ordinances passed pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chapter 104? What will <br />the Rice Creek Watershed District do that the Minnesota Department <br />of Natural Resources does not do now under Chapter 104? <br /> <br />3. The Comprehensive Plan on page VIII-6 proposes <br />to provide set backs from public waters. <br /> <br />Who will determine the shoreline zoning? The Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources under Minn. Stat. Chapter 105, as <br />amended by Laws 1973, Chapter 379 or the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District? What is inadequate about the present Minnesota Department <br />of Natural Resources regulations issued pursuant to Chapter 105? <br /> <br />4. The Comprehensive Plan on page VIII-7 states: <br /> <br />". . . the discharge of wastes to surface <br />water bodies shall be prohibited. . . II <br /> <br />What does the Watershed District intend to do that the <br />Minnesota Pollution Control Agency does not do at the present time? <br /> <br />5. The Comprehensive Plan on page VIII-9 states: <br /> <br />". . . require a permit for all aquatic <br />v\feed and 819ae control. . .1/ <br /> <br />'What requirements will be sought by the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District that are not now sought by the Minnesota Department <br />of Natural Resources in regulating this matter? <br /> <br />-2- <br />
