MAYOR LINEBARGER: You didn't get a good reaction to your
plan. Do you think they would wait on this regardless of what
this council did, and perhaps their study might give you some-
thing more of a benefit for updating this. Why are we proceed-
ing? I know we're required to hold the hearing, but why would
we proceed until we have the benefit of everything Rice Creek
Watershed (inaudible).

MR. HONCHELL: I can't say what's legal bond or project-
wise, given some of these alternatives (inaudible) we could ~.
always opt for plans 1 through 5. In the first place Rice Creek
Watershed might approve it and we might have an unbondable pro-
ject.

MAYOR LINEBARGER: If we were ever to put something in at
those costs, there's no way we can assess that within Roseville.
That could possibly be part of Rice Creek's participation. That's
why I'm wondering about the feasibility of going ahead. It's
certainly an alternative.

MRS. DEMOS: If this is a sub - Josephine and Little Jose-
phine are basically a sub Johanna watershed so then perhaps we
would come in for the total improvement so why should we go
ahead as a community?

MAYOR LI~~BARGER: How does the rest of the Council feel
about that?

COUNCILMAN BRENNAN: I definitely feel we should correct
the problems going into the lake.

MAYOR LINEBARGER: And it would be a little difficult for
Roseville to do that alone.

COUNCILMAN HESS: I make a motion we table this until we get
more information from the Rice Creek Watershed on the Josephine
and entire area.

MRS. DEMOS: Do you want to table?

MAYOR LINEBARGER: In either event, it will come up again.
We have to readvertise.

20
