would be required for this road, and probably have construc-
tion in 1977. AS far as your assessments are concerned, I
doubt that it would be before late in 1977 before we would
have a final cost on this. we're talking about 1978 or
beyond for any assessments.

We did hold an informational meeting this summer,
invited a lot of the people - we had quite a good turn out
and reviewed this road with the public at that meeting and
the next step now is to proceed with alignment and grade
approval and the beginning of the acquisition of the right-
of-way.

MAYOR DEMOS: Any questions?

COUNCILMAN CURLEY: I have none.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: I wanted to ask Mr. Leonard a
question to get this straight in my mind. our existing road
is a 24 foot width and you propose to widen to 69 feet from
curb to curb and you plan in this proposal to construct all
of the median strips as shown there on the plat - as you
show them there now - will that be part of this improvement?

MR. LEONARD: we have shown these median strips in
here in a manner which we think works best for everybody. In
the process of working with Standard Oil, for instance, if
it would meet their needs to somewhat revise this, that's
open to that revision and I don't think that detail of the
plan is firm or fixed.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: In other words, the location of the
strips is not necessarily shown as they are there, but this
is a preliminary plan.

MR. LEONARD: That should come up (inaudible) construc-
tion plans.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: Ramsey county will assume all of
the cost for the streets and the medians and so forth.
The only cost against the property owners would be then for
the concrete curb and gutter at an assessment hearing.

MR. LEONARD: That's our u:lders tanding.
some signal costs. We will com= back to you
ment saying this is what we estimate for the
gutter and so much for the signals.

There are
with an agree-
curb and

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: This signalization you're referring
to, is that in the cost of the $53,790?

MR. PETERSON: Yes, I understand it is.

MAYOR DEMOS: Do you have any written statements?

MR. ANDRE: We have received no statements.

4-
