MAYOR DEMOS: Do we have any letters.

MR. ANDRE: We have none.

MAYOR DEMOS: Is there anyone who wishes to speak
for or against.

MR. SAM CAVE, 723 Terrace Drive: I'm the contractor
on that property. I originally petitioned for the street
there. I expect with the development, if approved, we
would have a very desirable residential area there and I
have provided for a number of nice homes.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else?

FROM THE AUDIENCE: How would this look with the
ponding area there for the storm sewer pond, and would
there be space around that pond for open space?

MR. HONCHELL: The thinking of the city staff, at
least, - I don't know if you can see it, but the northerly
three lots of the area that was petitioned for are
actually taken up for ponding and (inaudible) more pond-
ing on the other side equivalent to another tbree lots
so there would be proper sloping down into the pond
rather than sheer drop offs, and the intent is that a
good deal of the time that area can be d~y and people
will be able to utilize that as actually a play space.
I recognize maybe in May it may not be if the rains
COm€H but the rest of the year it's hoped that can be
utilized by the people as some green area or open space.

FROM THE AUDIENCE: How large will that pond be -
an acre, or what?

MR. HONCHELL: There's approximately 300 feet north/
south and approximately - just looking at it - 225 feet
east/west so you're looking at more than an acre.

FROM THE AUDIENCE~ It must be going to be (inaudible)
west of where it is now because, at least last
summer when there was quite a lot of rain, it really
did come clear up to the lots on Prior Circle. There
was water clear up to the lots and ducks nesting in
there and that sort of thing and so I wondered, is there
going to be some space around it for wildlife.

3
