<br />-2- <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br />Amends Minnesota Statutes 1974, Section 375.12 by deleting certain refer- <br />ences to Ramsey County in the state-wide law ~egulating the publication <br />of proceedings. Ramsey County is already covered by Section 2.05 or <br />the Code. <br /> <br />Se'ction 6. <br /> <br />.t>.lllends Hinnesota Statutes 1974. Section 375.13 by deleting from state- <br />v1ide 1s~J the provision that Ramsey County have a second vice-chairman of <br />its County Board. This provision, also contained in Section 2.04 of the <br />Code, was made unnecessary when t~e Mayor of St. Paul was removed from <br />the County 3oard. <br /> <br />Section 7. <br /> <br />Amends Minnesota Statutes 1974, Section 471.476, Subdivision 1 by auth- <br />orizing the application in Ramsey County of the state-wide Ambulance <br />Service law. The statute now prohibits St. Paul-Ramsey Hospital from <br />operating a general ambulance service. <br /> <br />. Section 8. <br /> <br />Amends Minnesota Statutes 1974, Section 475.52 by authorizing Ramsey County <br />to issue bonds for library facilities, subject to the general referendu= <br />requirements. Ramsey County operates a library system in the. suburbs <br />supported by a tax. levied only in the sJ,lburbs. <br /> <br />Section 9. <br /> <br />Amends Minnesota Statutes Section 508.81 providing that the fees charged <br />by the Ramsey Couuty Clerk of District Court shall be governed by the <br />state-wide statues. A copy of Minnesota Statutes 1974) Section 357.021 <br />may be found in the appendix. <br /> <br />Section 10. <br /> <br />Repeals Minnesota Statutes 1974, Sections 380.25 and 380.26. This was a <br />state-wide law of local application requiring Ramsey County 'When leasing <br />jointly with the City of St. Paul, to pay no more than $1.50 per squa:e <br />foot for space. The e~ct ~anguage being repealed may be found in <br />Minnesota Statutes.!ill Chapter 380.25 and 380.26. . <br /> <br />Bill #2. <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Aoends Minnesota Statutes 1975 supplement, Section 375.47, SubdiviSion 1 <br />~l.lthoriz1ng the Board of County Commissioners to set a reasonable per <br />d~~ for merob~rs of boards and commissions. The boards and commissions <br />cc~ing ~nder this provision must be authorized by statute or p~ve no in- <br />dependent po~er to make expense allowances. The County Board is excluded <br />in this proposal. <br />
