<br />-5- <br /> <br />Bill {}o7. <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Amends Laws 1974 Chapter 435 (Ramsey County Code) 1.0205.. <br />Subdivision 1(b)(4) deletes the code provision for bicycle paths. <br />This provision is superseded by Minnesota Statutes 163.035. <br />Subdivision l(c) deletes a provision relating to p,ark and open <br />space system employees. This provision has been superseded by'the Civil <br />Service section of the Code. <br />Subdivision l(d) deletes the provision requiring delayed effect of <br />resolutions relating to open space and also the provision providing for <br />negative referendum. This provision has never been used and,as the open <br />space acquisition phase is being wound down~ only causes administrative <br />problems. <br />Subdivision 6(c) deletes the $5,000 appropriation limit relating <br />to Fish Hatcheries. Although Ramsey County has no hatchery, this limita- <br />tion is not in the spirit of recent legislation removing specific limits <br />in favor of an umbrella levy limit. <br />. ~ubdivisiQn 7(h) deletes th.e negative referendum portion. of the <br />ice arena taw. This section is obsolete; there is no issue on which to <br />have a referendum. <br />Subdivision 8(c) deletes the personnel section in the ice arena <br />section. !h'ts section is ,superseded by the Civil Service section. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Repeals Laws 1974 Chapter 395 which authorized Ramsey County to pur- <br />chase open space property outside the county.
