MAYOR DEMOS: If we propose to go, I think it's entirely
relevant. If we propose to go the route of overhead lighting,
there is no cost and, therefore, they are not sharing the cost.
I'm not certain all of these people are altogether opposed to
lighting.

MR. LEO MEYER, 3069 Shorewood Lane: I'd like to ask a
question. If overhead lighting is put in that one lighting
spot between 3069 and 3070 - down in the lower area - would
this necessitate another pole to string the light overhead?
Otherwise, the lines going across overhead would tend to come
rather low to that particular spot unless you were going to run
the line from the opposite side. If you run from behind the
3070 area, then that may not be a problem, but if you run from
Wheeler over to that - and as I understand that under the Plan
B which is the ornamental light pole - that would be run under-
ground from Wheeler down to that light pole.

MR. KRAMER: That's correct.

MR. MEYER: If it's overhead you'd almost have to put
another pole on the property in between there.

MR. JOSEPH RIVARD: It seems we're getting the horse ahead
of the cart and we're talking about modifying a plan of instal-
lation of lights when we're still asking you, as our Council,
to not approve street lighting. It's my understanding that
what you must decide is if you're going to put this in.

MAYOR DEMOS: We can order ornamental or overhead accorQ1nq
to your petition. We can deny either one, or we may continue
the hearing. Let me say that already one of the people who
s~9ned your petition said they were not opposed to lighting
for Shorewood Lane, but opposed to lighting in fraud: of their
house, so I think at this point if there's no one else that
wishes to speak, I will close the hearing and ask the Council
to make its determination. There are four option$. Is there
anyone else? If not, you may order in ornamental, you may
order in overhead, you may deny, or continue it.

COUNCILMAN CURLEY: In the few months that I've been on the
Roseville City Council I've seen a lot of ligh~s go up and a
lot of people request lights, and a lot of fightjhg as to where
