that they do most of the traffic in and out of their house
through Wheeler. I mentioned the number of speeding cars,
and it does seem to be an attractive area for cars to go
up and down and so forth. I would like to point out that
many of the residents feel enough concern about the lighting
in the neighborhood and I cite Don as a prime example of this
{inaudible} to leave the lights on through the majority, if
not all the night. I have, in many cases, left them on all
night and there's hardly a morning I haven't gotten up seeing
Don's lights on.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else who wishes to speak for or
against?

MR. JOSEPH RIVARD: The only thing I'd like to point out -
that you as our Council want to do the right thing. I thin~
in arriving at the proper decision you should consider what the
majority wish is on that road. Of the 26 property owners, you
have the petition with l5 of those property owners who are op-
posed to this for one reason or another. There are six from
my poll - six homes that were in favor of it and five neutral who
didn't care either way so I think you should consider those
people who have voiced either one way or another and not the
neutral votes, so to speak, and consider the 15 opposed to
this being thrust on us in a sense, to the six families.

MAYOR DEMOS: I would like to ask you one question. The
original petition came in like either/or for ornamental or
standard lighting. Is your petition against lighting as it is?

MR. RIVARD: Per see I am sure if the village was going
to thrust lighting on us that everyone would be in favor of
the ornamental. I feel that, but we who have signed that
petition, a vast majority, are against it per see

MAYOR DEMOS: There is one question in my mind that since
you have 15 signatures, that two of them that I saw quickly
are immediately adjacent to lights. Therefore, they don't have
a need. Would that have influenced their signature? Why be
bothered as long as I have the benefit from Lydia or Wheeler?
