MR. GODFREY: What type is it?

MAYOR DEMOS: Is it the old creosote type or (inaudible)
been bored for wiring.

MR. DOUG STRONG, City Public Works Department: The one at
the end of the cul-de-sac is a cored pole and not a creosote,
but a treated type of pole, that's a nicer looking pole.

MAYOR DEMOS: Does it have the rough junk on it.

MR. STRONG: That's smooth. The one at this end is your
standard power pole.

MR. GODFREY: That's what I don't want. How do we go
about getting the decorative at this end.

MR. KRAMER: That's what you have now.

MR. GODFREY: We don't have a pole. There's one on Galtier
Street. This is Galtier Circle.

COUNCILMAN HESS: I imagine you really have to re-petition
for an ornamental pole at that end also.

MR. GODFREY: How would I go about getting a new hearing,
because if I'm in this position now and you vote on it, I'm
dead, right.

MAYOR DEMOS: That is one that the city puts up and that
would not have to be put up. We could proceed with this -

MR. GODFREY: The cost factor is moving in and moving out.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: I think the cost factor would be spread
over all of the benefited lots and it would be better to do at
one time rather than put in one pole and then go back, because
I think the project should be done at one time so an even
assessment is spread against all of the benefited property.

MR. GODFREY: I have another question then. At this
particular time, if the majority of the people on that block
are here, could it be taken care of this way - through a "yes",
"no" vote of us instead of a written petition.
