by all but one of the lots involved. Again, it was for the
bituminous paving, seven-ton roadway as in the other cases,
32 feet wide with the same kind of curb and gutter. There
are some - what I would call - unique circumstances in this
that didn't exist in the other roadways. This sketch shows
how Oxford now has been widened a little bit at the time
Shryer was done. It then narrows down to half of a roadway
width of 15 to 16 feet wide in front of this lot which is
undeveloped and, in fact, we don't have the north half of
the right-of-way for that portion. It then jogs a little
westerly and is about 26 feet wide in this location. There
are some storm drainage facilities in the area. If this
improvement were done, those would be realigned and relocated.
There is also a rather large mound of earth - part of which
was removed last fall, but much of it still remains. This
would also be moved and knocked down to standard elevations
if the improvement were done. As in the other improvements,
no trees on the existing property are anticipated to be
affected, and no shrubbery, and only minor adjustments to
driveway grades. Perhaps we can see the other sketch. This
shows pictorially what would be done, with the green being
the curb and gutter, and the brown the paving. The other
aspect of this improvement - if you recall that lot that did
not have the full frontage - this lot also does not have any
utility facilities. There is an existing sanitary sewer, but
no watermain. For this lot to be developed, it will be neces-
sary to construct a watermain between Shryer and north of
Ryan where (inaudible) the watermain does exist in this loca-
tion, some sewer services would have to be constructed to
this lot, and water services to this let. The services would
only be charged to that lot, but the watermain would be asses-
sed to all the lots that it goes past. This is in accordance
with the existing city policy that there is a 25 foot assess-
able frontage assumed on the so-called side lot portion of
corner lots. The Council may wish to review that point for
these two homes that already have water connections at the
time of a special assessment procedure. At this point we
merely followed the standard policy. The reason being that
these people are hooked up and would gain no advantage from
the new watermain.
