COUNCILMAN HESS: That's why we have the alternatives, so
we can do it alone - Oxford alone - or put them together.

FROM THE AUDIENCE: But I think over the last few years
we have lost faith in government, and we're still in doubt.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else who wishes to be heard?

MR. DENNIS LINDSTROM, 1031 Ryan: I'm in favor of Ryan
and Oxford.

MAYOR DEMOS: Let's make this clear. I'm going to close
the public hearing. Let me make this straight as far as I'm
concerned. There are five ways to go. You can hav~ Ryan alone.
You can have Oxford alone from Shryer to Ryan South. You can
have Ryan Avenue and Oxford from Shryer to Ryan South. You
can have Ryan and Oxford from Shryer to Ryan North, or you can
have Oxford from Shryer to Ryan North. Let me point out if
you take it separately and you do both of those things, then
the man that lives at I03l Ryan and 1031 Shryer are going to
have assessments of approximately $300 for their side lots.
Am I right?

MR. HONCHELL: I estimated at $312.

MAYOR DEMOS: But the west side would be a little more.
If you go that route, the Mooney's would be approximately $24
a foot for 120 feet. At this point I will let the Council
make its determination.

COUNCILMAN HESS: The feeling I got from the people here
this evening is that Ryan people want Ryan alone, and the
Oxford people do wish to have it (inaudible) all one combination,
but I think if I would vote for it, I would vote for Ryan alone.

MAYOR DEMOS: I will go ahead and say I'm willing to vote
for Ryan alone and Oxford alone from Shryer to Ryan North,
but I will not vote with a (inaudible).
