MAYOR DErK>S:
a 30 foot setback.
deeper?

If you had 90 feet of depth you only have
How many homes are going to be that much

MR. KATH: I can understand that, but if you look at the
lot - the contour of the shore comes in and goes back out. It
was snowing when I went over to show this man, and he went over
like that and he said, I don't want it. Maybe that lot there,
and I said I'm not going to sit there and (inaudible) for one
lot and have this hole on back here and have another lot there -
all of them or nothing, and he said, nothing. To make it long
and short, somebody has got to show me. I haven't the engi-
neering ability and I don't think I got the finances to vote
yes for something like this.

MAYOR DEr~S: Let me say something to you. If you truly
did not have a buildable lot - if this were built this year,
the assessment hearings would not be held until approximately
August of 1979 - if you did not have a buildable lot, then it
seems to me you have some recourse at that time, but according,
as I understand Mr. Honchell, he thinks there's a buildable
lot there.

MR. KATH: But we're going to have to infringe into the
water.

MAYOR DEHOS: Sometimes you have to design homes to fi t
the lot.

MR. KA~t: But you can't stick a wiener in there and I
don't think we in Roseville want that kind of stuff, am I right
Charlie?

MR. HONCHELL: We don't want wieners.

MR. RATH: I don't think I would really - unless this
thing is really studied out - I can't say yes to it, and it's
really serious - the program is that serious. If I have to be
assessed for a commercial rate on a piece of property I cannot
sell, then I couldn't vote for it. Do I make myself clear?

MAYOR DEMOS: When we're talking about next to 220, that's
not commercial.

HR. KATH: They're talking about my side - my side is
commercial. I'm the big commercial piece owner here. This is
the end of approximately 300 feet.

MR. HONCHELL: The very first lot that's vacant is approxi-
mately 152 feet, and ~~at's residential. The next lots -
although we have them divided up - this is based on information
you had brought to us, and right now this is all one large lot -
all zoned B-2, commercial.

10
