and I kept the rink plowed and (inaudible) and I bought it and
I'll live to regret this and (inaudible). I've come in with
every kind of proposal and things just don't go right.

COUNCILMAN KEHR: You haven't pushed the right button.

MAYOR DEMOS: He had it ready and then the DNR fouled him

up.

MR. KATH: From there on it's given me a lot of sleepless
nights and I won't allow myself to become bitter about it
because I haven't got time to do this because I have too many
other beautiful things to think about.

MR. ANDRE: I guess I might be missing the point, but it
seems to me what we're talking about is a fact question at the
time when we corne to make those assessments, and it seems to
me the Council has to make that sort of a fact decision as to
what is the benefit in terms of those various properties, and
it seems to me that a number of things could happen between
now and a year from now and that would be the appropriate time
to make a decision.

MR. KATH: But now the reason I'm aSking this - you just
mentioned something about 1979, is this correct?

MAYOR DEMOS: Yes.

11R. KATH: Some place along the line I have to be able to
either have some kind of relief on these particular (inaudible)
which would accommodate four lots if they were (inaudible)
sellable lots, fine, I don't care.

MR. ANDRE: What are you talking about - relief?

MR. KATH: In the first place, I don't feel like I want
Transit Street because I don't live there, but that is not the
way I'm figuring. If the rest of the people want it, I want
it, you see, but these four lots - I'm not going to be able to
sell it. At least I have had 3 or 4, 5 people look at it and
none of them want to touch it. As soon as they see how close
it is to the water they back away.

MAYOR DEMOS: Again, Leland Lilihaugen built the houses
on Dunlap from Brooks south to Sextant and I think they're
very attractive and everyone of those was custom built. The
people chose. He didn't build for speculation.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: When you talk about buyers, are you
talking about somebody that you want to sell the whole parcel?

MR. KATH: Yes.

12
