lO

page 4, paragraph 1, it states that 77% of the property owners
who have assessable property are for the improvement, and I believe
you have answered this. How did the 77% - how was it arrived at?

MR. HONCHELL: That was taken by the number of prople that
petitioned for the roadway improvement. This is a combined
improvement, if you will. That's 77% of the people along Iona
where the roadway portion of this project is proposed.

MR. FALK: You're talking to the east.

MR. HONCHELL: East of Dale between Mackubin and Dale, signed
the petition in favor of the pa~g project and acknowledging there
would be the sttrm sewer. Also on page 4 (inaudible) the total
was approximately 30% directly below the line you quoted so those
people along Iona east of Dale that signed constituted approximately
30% of the entire storm drainage assessable area.

MR. FALK: Can I ask - maybe this can't be revealed, but how
many did sign the petition?I'm trying to figure out how you get
77% and I can't come up with it.

MR. HONCHELL: I'm rounding and approximating these numbers.

MAYOR DEMOS: There are l7 lots that signed for the petition.
17 out of 22 on Iona would make 77%.

MR. FALK: Well, I guess the last thing I would like to say,
and Mr. Honchell did point this out and I'm glad that he did, that
30% of the property owners that are going to be assessed are for it
and I would hope that the City Council members would have great
concern that the project 78-30 is being pushed down 70% of the
property owners throats who are not for the improvement. I would
hope this is not the way our government should work.

MR. AL BERG, 511 Iona Lane: I had two questions. You said
the width of the street up there by Mackubin is 44 feet wide, is
that correct?

MR. HONCHELL: The existing or proposed?

MR. BERG: The existing.

MR. HONCHELL: The existing is mid-thirties to 20 feet. It
kind of weaves around so far as width and doesn't have a standard
width.

MR. BERG: What is the widest of Mackubin?

MR. HONCHELL: 32 feet.

MR. BERG: So the proposed 36 or 44 feet would be wider than
that east of there. If the roadway were narrowed down from the

existing roadway, what would be done as far as filling in on the
