6

Dapper's driveway - sometimes the tank farm for turn-around spots.
I know you can't do anything about that, but what I'm afraid of
is the M.S.A. move will tend to encourage it rather than discourage
that kind of action.

COUNCILMAN CURLEY: There are things we can do about that.
We have a Police Department that I think will go where we tell
them to.

MR. JACKSON: I think I spend my life doing that. I think
it would be important for ~tr. Anderson to know the history of
that whole section and when that industrial development went in
we were told by a Council - I know you aren't bound by their
actions - but they said that road would not be expanded or extended
and would not be used by that industry since Long Lake Road would be,
and a half a mile really isn't that far for a truck to go.

COUNCILMAN CURLEY: I think we can control the (inaudible)
on that highway. They
wouldn't have all the bumps and holes to hit and wouldn't quite
get the effect out of the test driving.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: How fast do they go?

MR. JACKSON: It's personal.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: Do you notice it's excessively over the
speed limit?

MR. JACKSON:' In terms of acceleration - not steady driving.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: Then they turn into a driveway and go back.
Why couldn't that be prohibited completely?

MR. HONCHELL: You can't prohibit anyone from using the road.

COUNCIL~~N FRANKE: Why don't they build a half mile track
behind the dealers?

MR. HONCHELL: I think it's difficult to do because if you were
trying to ascertain where they were coming from, if you were a
