Mr. Paschke further noted that the requirements would be found within <br /> 1299 landscape requirements of the ordinance, not in this specific document. <br /> 1300 Mr. Paschke noted that the City Attorney's office had provided comment on Page 7 requesting <br /> 1301 the inclusion of setback requirements on the table under Dimensional Standards; that the word <br /> 1302 "Maximum" needed to be added in addressing the percentages; and other items were similar to <br /> 1303 and addressed in Member Wozniak's written comments. <br /> 1304 MOTION <br /> 1305 Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Wozniak to RECOMMEND APPROVAL <br /> 1306 of draft Commercial and Mixed Use District requirements, establishing new regulations <br /> 1307 under Title 10, Zoning Regulations, pertaining to the COMMERCIAL AND MIXED USE <br /> 1308 DISTRCITS, as presented and detailed in the Request for Planning Commission Action <br /> 1309 dated July 7, 2010; with staff directed to incorporate modifications from tonight's discussion, <br /> 1310 including: <br /> 1311 Modifications to be incorporated by staff from tonight's discussion: <br /> 1312 o Paragraph L Trash Storage Areas <br /> 1313 o Windows and Door Openings page 2.e.6, paragraph 3, incorporate the 50% rule, with <br /> 1314 equipment or other bulky items blocking window or door openings, must be 5', everything <br /> 1315 else is allowed; <br /> 16 o Front setback requirements to address right -of -way easements in the text and chart, with a <br /> 317 revised statement, pending further discussion with the City Attorney <br /> 1318 o Include surface parking requirements for CB similar to that under RB (page 10, Section f) <br /> 1319 o Add that "structured parking" is treated as a building type and designated as such for <br /> 1320 Community Mixed Use proposals <br /> 1321 o In the Statement of Purpose Page 1, item e), add language to encourage enhancement of the <br /> 1322 natural environment [as feasible.) <br /> 1323 Staff advised that they would address those typographical and numbering errors as indicated <br /> 1324 before going forward to the City Council. <br /> 1325 Ayes: 6 <br /> 1326 Nays: 1 (Boerigter) <br /> 1327 Motion carried. <br /> 1328 Member Boerigter advised that he wasn't convinced that the proposed design standards were <br /> 1329 appropriate and fitting; yet indicating that he had no great negative concerns as indicated by some <br /> 1330 speakers during public comment <br /> 1331 Chair Doherty asked that staff would provide tonight's discussion to the City Council; with Mr. <br /> 1332 Paschke assuring the Commission that the City Council would receive a copy of tonight's <br /> 1333 meeting minutes. <br />
