HONCHELL:
county's plan - to
way, and they have
water that gets to
pipe is needed for
The rest is coming
shading.

The area in the blue shading is part of the
pick up the water that comes to the right-of-
sized that in accordance with the amount of
the right-of-way. Only a portion of that
what's originating on the right-of-way itself.
from the private lands and those shown in the

The areas shown in red are those which the city proposes
to build as part of the same overall project - the reasoning
being that we do not wish to have that run overland or along the
roadway because it's detrimental to the pavement itself. There
is - to the home owner - there is no difference in assessment
whether the red is built or not. It's the same assessment either
way. I guess it's our proposal that this is the appropriate
time to put the red portion in because we want to pick that water
up as soon as possible.

MR. GORDON RHEAUME, 2874 Oxford: That wa ter has been
running down County Road C-2 for thirty years and hasn't eroded
anything yet.

MR. DEMOS: We're talking about ~exington, and I guess we
can't say that's been eroded.

MR. RHEAUME: I don't remember seeing a puddle on Lexington
and County Road C-2.

MAYOR DEMOS: The hearing is closed and we will turn it back
to the Council.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: I look at the figure $295 - and the
road is MSA funds.

MR. HONCHELL: The only property that's anticipated to be
assessed for the roadway itself would be the county open space
land because it's tax exempt and isn't paying any taxes.

COUNCILMAN FRANKE: But the people here wouldn't be assessed
for road unless they wanted to pave Oxford so we're talking
about $295 which they don't start paying for for two years, over a
period of 20 years. That's a little over a dollar a month. It
seems it would be worth that to protect the road.

COUNCILMAN ANDERSON: As I understand it, we have to put in
the storm sewer line which is indicated in the blue. It's been
the policy of the Council to assess anybody within the drainage
area that contributes water to that particular sewer. Therefore,
if you live in the shaded area you will be assessed $295 for that
