Council Action Rec�uested: <br />Commissioners are appointed to terms that begin April 1 of each year. To ensure <br />adequate time to advertise and to interview Commission applicants, staff request that the <br />Council adopt the following schedule for this process. This will allow enough time to <br />appoint and to advertise for applicants: <br />January 5 Reappointment Applications due to City Hall <br />January 10 Council reviews applications and appoints Commissioners and/or request <br />interviews <br />January 24 If interviews are requested, Council interviews Commissioners requesting <br />reapplication (beginning at 5:00 p.m.) <br />January 31 Council decides whether to reappoint interviewed Commissioners, then <br />declares vacancies, sets deadlines for applications for vacancies. <br />
