Roseville Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes – September 08, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br />providing training beyond that re quired and that provided by the majority of school districts <br />across the state. <br /> <br />Further discussion included pending commitment fo r the District’s Equity Assistant to speak at <br />the upcoming HRC forum; and appreciation of Me mber McKenzie in keeping the HRC and City <br />aware of human rights news and issues throughout the state. <br /> <br />Chair Singleton expressed sympathy to the City of North St. Paul, their Police Department, and <br />families in their loss of an officer over the Labo r Day weekend, as well as to others involved in <br />this tragic event. <br /> <br />Member Kennedy reported that in the recent drive for backpacks for children of poverty, <br />hundreds had been received, and she expressed appr eciation to area churches for their generosity, <br />as well as to the community as a whole. <br /> <br />VII. Adjournment <br />Chair Singleton adjourned the mee ting at approximately 7:35 p.m.
