Elect Chair and Vice Chair to the Commission Chair Singleton advised that a Chair and Vice Chair were to be elected at tonight’s meeting. Member Grefenberg moved, seconded by Memb er Jaeger, nomination of Member David Singleton for re-election as Chair. Chair Singleton accepted the nomination and called for additional nominations from the floor, of which there were no additional nominations. Motion carried: 6/0/0. Chair Singleton expressed his appreciation to members for their continued support. Member Kennedy expressed appreciation to Chair Singleton for his willingness to continue in the role of Chairperson. Chair Singleton, seconded by Member McKenz ie, nomination of Member Marie Oftelie for re-election as Vi ce Chair of the HRC. Member Oftelie accepted the nomination. Chair Singleton called for additional nominations from the floor, of which there were no additional nominations. Motion carried: 6/0/0. Member Grefenberg asked that the record show a unanimous vote for both offices. IV. Update on Community Forum Planning The Planning Subcommittee provided an update and budget handout for the Community Forum, with Members McKenzie and Oftelie, and staff liaison Curti addressing areas of the planning. Discussion included miscellane ous logistics; including th e additional assistance of Cynthia Singleton to assist Vi ctoria Amaris in facilitating the Forum; responses received to-date; status of pledges and donations, with any remaining funds to be carried over to next year; menu selections with Molly of Cr eative Catering; and cl arification of those presenting, sponsoring and otherwis e participating in the event. Chair Singleton expressed his appreciation to staff and Subcommittee for their work. Member Yates moved, seconded by Member Jaeg er, to accept the repor t as presented. Motion carried: 6/0/0.
