Ordinary trees and shrubs. <br />2 <br />3 Property Line: <br />4 <br />5 Shrub: A woody plant which at maturity is Tess than 20 feet tall with multiple stems <br />6 at the ground or branching within a few feet above ground. <br />7 <br />8 Street TREE Master P -G PLAN: Official comprehensive tree management plan, <br />9 including, but not limited to, a planting guide with ate regulations outlining allowed <br />10 and disallowed tree species, planting locations, planting techniques and treatments <br />11 to limit the spread of shade tree pests. <br />12 <br />13 Street Tree Permit: Written permission given by the City allowing a person(s) to <br />14 plant, trim, treat or remove a tree, shrub or herbaceous plant on city property. <br />15 <br />16 TREE: A woody plant which at maturity is 20+ feet tall with a single stem, and <br />17 unbranched for several feet above the ground. Any self supporting, woody perennial <br />18 plant. <br />19 <br />20 TREE TRIMMING: Recommended trimming and pruning techniques are outlined in <br />21 the Street City Tree Master Plan. Tree topping is not considered an appropriate tree <br />22 trimming technique and is specifically prohibited on all public lands. (Ord. 1107, 12- <br />23 9 -91) <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 706.03: TREE BOARD: <br />27 The Parks and Recreation Commission shall act in all matters relating to the <br />28 advisement of issues contained in this Chapter and all others relating to forestation <br />29 within the City. The process, conditions for appointment and terms shall be the same <br />30 as those for the Parks and Recreation Commission. The city shall have the power to plant, care for, maintain, remove, and replace all <br />35 trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plantings This Chapter applies to all trees, plants er4 <br />36 chrub3 located within any public street right of ways, parks and public places within <br />37 the limits of the City, <br />38 <br />39 B. The city shall have control over the planting, care, maintenance, removal and <br />40 replacement of all and to trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants and shrubs located on <br />41 private property that constitute a hazard or threat to the public as set forth in this <br />42 Chapter. Appointment of City Forester Horticulturist: The Director of Parks and Recreation, <br />49 or duly authorized employee, shall act as the City Forester Horticulturist, e. <br />50 designated staff, to coordinate the activities of the city relating to the control and <br />51 prevention of damage by shade tree pests. The City Forester will recommend to the <br />52 Council the details of any program for the declaration, control, and prevention of <br />53 shade tree pests.
