Discussion included the project budget; the DNR study;
creation and writing of a plan and determination that efforts were not being duplicated. Len
Ferrington noted that his understanding of the DNR's intent was to assist with a weed
management plan, not for point intercept surveys, with a separate survey of aquatics Mr.
Petersen concurred, and offered to follow -up to verify the specifics with the DNR; noting that if
Ramsey County couldn't do it, Ramsey/Washington staff was willing to get involved and the
GLWMO could contract with them to do it, providing another option to accomplish surveying;
and strongly suggested that the Board consider one of those options.
Submit Clean Water Legacy Grant Request to BWSR (August)
Chair Pro Tem Eckman directed Mr. Petersen to change this item to July, rather than August.
Chair Pro Tem Eckman called the question on
with items noted during the discussion of the pl
Motion 11 -03 -10
Member Von De Linde moved, and Member
2011 Work -Plan as presented by Mr. Petersen.
Ayes: 4
Nays: 0
Motion carried.
Miscellaneous Discussions
MPCA TMDL Study Proposal
the GLWMO 2011 Work Plan, as presented and,
an.
Westerberg seconded, approval of the GLWMO
March 22 Stakeholders' Meeting
Action Step
Chair Pro Tem Eckman reminded Ms. Correll to invite Jim Tolaas, Ramsey County Public
Works Director, to the Third Stakeholder's meeting scheduled for March 22. Chair Pro
Tem Eckman noted for the record that the Board owned the monitoring equipment. Mr. Petersen
noted that the Board had been asked to find a place to store it rather than at its current location.
Mr. Schwartz was asked to determine if storage space was available at one of the member cities
facilities for the equipment.
Action step
Chair Pro Tem Eckman directed Mr. Petersen to retrieve the GLWMO Board's equipment from
the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District.
6
