about the same level as - I'm at 2815 - so I'm about the level of
2799 possibly. The home that Mr. Kredovski lives in - it was
explained about the problem - and I know the Kath residence, who
is a neighbor of ours, I know they have a storm sewer adjacent to
their home that runs down from Merrill. So I think the area it-
self, when it was first constructed, should have been raised. I
think it just sits in a little area and there's some clay there -
there's some ground there that is very difficult, I think, to
make a judgment on where the water (inaudible) because it seems
to be at every level. Thank you. Just one other thing - Can
you tell me approximately how long this project will take?

MR. HONCHELL: It depends on how many other projects may be
combined with this. The reason I say that is, typically we take
several projects, put them together so that we can get better bid
prices - so-called buying in mass scale. If we do that, usually
the contractors try and work in phases. In other words, they
would come in, they would remove the existing asphalt, fix any
utility problems that they may find - for instanc.e, in some other
stre~ts we found some places where we wanted to fix the sanitary
sewer before they started. Should we find any of that on your
street, that would be done first, then they would remove the
asphalt, bring in the rock base, do the curb and gutter. But
they may not do everyone of these - do one one day, do one the
next - they may be taking the pavement off one while putting
gravel on another one. This is just a long way of saying that
it may be a couple of months of work. That doesn't mean that
they'd actually be constructing things in front of your home for
a two month period, but it may take that long from the beginning
to ,the end.

MR. CLIFFORD CHRISTIANSEN, 2756 Fernwood: What would your
estimation be, Mr. Honchell, on when they would commence the
project on Fernwood?

MR. HONCHELL: Mr. Short or Mr. Lucas might be able to
correct me - as I recall it's going to be in August.

MR. CHRISTIANSEN: Would it be after the first of August?

MR. LUCAS: It would be closer to the latter part of August.

MR. CHRISTIANSEN: The latter part of August. And then it
would be two months (inaudible) from that period. So we could
say it will probably be September and October, before the end of
October, before they had completed the work. Thank you.

MAYOR DEMOS: Anyone else from Fernwood Avenue?

MR. THOMAS RICKER, 2736 Fernwood: I've lived on that street
for 15 years and the roadway has always been adequate. I think
the Village could much better spend its money solving the water
problem that they've been having - like putting a swimming pool
in there which (inaudible) all the drainage. I see no reason to
spend the money on a street which has been a perfectly adequate
street when people have to have wet basements and wet homes.
