Section A. <br />Official Business, also, includes the assignment of a Commissioner to <br />special duties or meetings, which the GLWMO Board of Commissioners by <br />official motion has pre approved, to represent the interest of the GLWMO. <br />ARTICLE III: GLWMO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />The GLWMO Board of Commissioners shall be comprised of at least five (5) <br />Commissioners who are appointed by the cities of Shoreview and Roseville per the <br />provisions of the JPA, Section III. <br />Section B. Board Officer Terms, Election, Unexpired Term <br />1) Terms of the Officers shall be for one (1) year, commencing on the date of <br />the election. No Commissioner shall hold more that one office at a time. <br />Election of the Officers shall be held at the GLWMO Annual Meeting. <br />2) Annually, the Chair shall appoint a nominating Committee to solicit <br />candidates for officer positions and committee assignments. The Officers <br />shall be elected annually and shall not serve for a period of more than (2) <br />successive terms, unless unanimously elected by the Board of <br />Commissioners at the Annual Meeting. <br />3) In the event of an unexpired term of a Commissioner, the Board shall <br />immediately elect from among its members an individual who will <br />perform the duties of that officer for the unexpired portion of the term. <br />Section C. Duties of Officers <br />1) The Chair shall: <br />a. Serve as chairperson for all meetings; <br />b. Sign, in the name of the GLWMO, any contracts, correspondence, or <br />other instruments pertaining to the business of the GLWMO as so <br />authorized by majority vote of the Board; <br />c. Be a signatory to the GLWMO accounts; oversee development of <br />meeting agendas; have full voting privileges at all times, may vote <br />on any issue, and need not confine his/her voting to break ties in <br />voting by the Commissioners. <br />d. The Chair shall assume No other duties or responsibilities except as <br />granted by majority vote of the Board. <br />2- <br />
