runs right in front of 902 and 904 '>i1est County Road B-2 and lays
on the south side of the street (changed tape).

MR. HONCHELL: One of the points that you may not be aware
of is I believe there is a pipe crossing B-2 that picks your
water up as well and goes toward the lake. I believe that's
our indication - the information we have.

MR. DEUSTERMAN: It picks it up on the south side?

MR. HONCHELL: Yes.

MR. RICK PASCH, 915 West County Road B-2: I was wondering -
they were saying that there's not going to be curbs on B-2 now.
I suppose they have to put a little lip or something for the
water to run into.

MR. HONCHELL: What we'll actually do is make, in all
probability, an asphalt splashway for the water to come into the
basin itself and then have sod around the edge of that. The
pick-up facilities will actually end up lower than the street.

(--

MR. HUSSEIN SOUD, 924 G~andview: I just want to see how
this can help our street. I don't see any problems - especially
paying for it on top of a 75% increase on my property taxes.
Maybe this could be done at some other time, but not at this
time. I don't see how this project will help our street. I
don't have any problems.

MAYOR DEMOS: Are you referring to the tax statement you
just got?

MR. SOUD: Yes.

MAYOR DEMOS: A 75% increase?

MR. SOUD: Yes.

MAYOR DEMOS: Your house must have been sadly under-
assessed. In previous years, it must not have been assessed
at the rate it should have been. From all I've heard, taxes
went up approximately 27% in Roseville. If yours went up 75%,
then it would indicate that the estimated market value was
not as high as it should have been. I can't answer that and
I think that1s something you should talk to the staff about.
Basically, your tax - and I hate to say this but it's true -
basically the taxes went up because of the mill levy increase
from the schools and the county. Some increase from the 'City,
but very little.

MR. SOUD: Not 75%.

MAYOR DEMOS: No - I would question that if I were you.
Why don't you talk to the staff - call them tomorrow.

20
